The King of all Chicago Dogs

Giant Chicago Dog
Tonight we went to the Twins game and all day today I just knew what I'd be getting to eat. It was all I had hoped for and more. It took me 2 innings to finish it. Mmmm. Too bad the Twins lost.

Psycho Socks

My sockapalooza 4 socks have gone Psycho, literally. A few of my friends and I got together last night for a little bit of greasy food (battered & deep fried asparagus - YUM) a few potluck snacks (pickle roll ups - YUM) pizza & dessert. It was all yummy and the company was even better. Plus I made some headway on the Monkey socks for my sock pal. I was caught in the rain on my motorbike on the way home but it's all good for the eve of the summer solstice. Happy summer everyone!

Sockapalooooza Summer

I started knitting my sock pal's Monkey sock last week and feel like I've made significant progress. I hope she likes it, she mentioned she likes bright colors!
This afternoon at the end of my errand running, I stopped in for a new pedicure. It sort of matches the Cherry Tree Hill, no? The polish is called 'Orange You Glad it's Summer'.
I'm completely enjoying my current book, Julie & Julia. If you like cooking, Julia Child or just a good read, this book will hit the spot. Have a great weekend everyone!

Summer Snack

One of my favorite summer eats is a Chicago Dog. Last week when I was vacationing around the cities, I stopped in to a local Home Depot of all places, for a Chicago dog lunch. Mmmm summer.

Lucky Dog

Remember about a week ago I mentioned being fairly lucky? Well, I was really lucky today! Splatgirl and her crew invited me to hang out with them at the GreyFest. I thought I'd give a little money to GPA-MN and try my hand at the raffle. Well, as you can see I won 3 prizes! There's dog collars, toys, food, treats, a picture frame, tattoo gift certificate & t-shirts, blanket and tons more.
This greyhound won the costume contest posing as an afghan hound. She was my personal favorite.
And while we were listening to the raffle, Mast found himself a little girlfriend Ellie. She had the cutest white spots on her ears. And I tell you what, if I wasn't so breed loyal to the Weimaraner I just might adopt one of these fantastic dogs. Thanks for inviting me to your picnic Mast!

The Ball Jar

I have a huge plan brewing for these Koigu scraps I've gathered over the years. With the next 9 days off work with little to no plans, I hope to be able to show you a finished object very soon. But, I am not promising anything since I do have a ridiculous list of items to do in the next week such as 'remove wax from the table quilt' and 'dust night table'. Hey, a girls got to have goals.
What will this become?
I've used these leftovers for sooo many projects including this scarf & sock, a mini sweater, baby booties, a camera condom or 2 or 3, more baby booties, anklet socks, sockapal2za socks, a finished pair of Crusoe socks, my favorite orange socks and a gifted pair of ankle socks.
And a view from the other side...
Koigu balls
I can't believe it's June already, can you?
