Wee Sock

This weekend I knit a wee sock for a swap I signed up for. IMO, this is a great idea for a swap...just a little something for a new pal, we were assigned the pal on Friday and the mailing date is tomorrow. Not enough time to put it off or forget about it and a great way to meet new blog friends. I can't wait to get my wee sock!

Cracked

Well, it's back to a full work week. I began a new pair of socks Friday afternoon and I'm nearly done with the 1st one so I'll show it to you soon. I'm also planning on finishing a quilt this week so I'll have that to show too. Maybe I post those things here more for myself sort of like a journal, a way to keep track of details. I'm just happy you like to see the stuff :)

Most of my week will be filled with these. Gotta love the hard boiled egg.

Second Day of Spring

Apparently the calendar tells us it's Spring but mother nature has other ideas. I really like snow so I have no problem with this and I think Casey likes it too. It's supposed to snow most of the weekend so we plan to head outside and play some more since this may be the last snow we see until next Fall.

I Have a New Pair of Socks!

Mini-Monkeys

Yarn: Socks That Rock Lightweight
Color: Tidepool
Needles: Size 2 birch dpn's
Started: August 20, 2007
Finished: March 18, 2008

Notes: I didn't do as many repeats on the leg of the sock because I wanted a shorter sock.
They're a little bit too big around, I think a smaller needle would have been better.

Tooth Carrie

Yesterday I recieved the cutest little tooth pincushion in the mail. I ordered him from buttonarcade on etsy. I may stick a magnet on the back and place him on the fridge. You see, I'm a dental hygienist so I'm all about the teeth. My blogging friend Mariko even nicknamed me tooth carrie. I try not to go too crazy with tooth paraphernalia but I couldn't pass this sad guy by.

Long Overdue

Without looking it up, I can't recall when I started knitting these Monkey socks. I desperately need to finish these so I can move on to another pair. Since I don't have to be back to work until Wednesday next week, I think I can get this task accomplished! Have a great weekend everyone.

I Can't Get Enough

I'm completely in love with this story of Christopher McCandless, ever since I read the book a few years back. This year the movie was released and last Tuesday it became available on DVD. When I went to purchase the movie I also picked up the soundtrack. If you haven't seen this movie, make sure to add it to your NetFlix queue, rent it from the Red Box or get it some other way...you won't be disappointed.

String Bag

Even with all the sick floating around our house I managed to finish this project over the weekend. My LYS is having a string bag sale starting tomorrow, all the yarn you can fit in the bag (the yarn for the bag had to be purchased there) for 20% off. I'm sure I'll be able to find something ;)
