Petals & Stitches

As much as I love to plant new flowers in the Spring, I enjoy getting rid of them to put out the mums and pumpkins for Fall. Today there is definitely a crispness in the air that screams Autumn.
Mums
My etsy store still has some fun things in stock, with this cool air moving in it reminded me that the holidays are right around the corner!

Preparing for Winter

Even though it's been unusually warm here for autumn (until today), I am preparing for winter by knitting myself a center square hat to match a new jacket I purchased last year. This project is definitely a quick one! Do you like my stitch marker? It's made by Caro of Splityarn and sold here in her etsy shop - it looks like she's on a break but check back in November for your own Scrabble stitch markers!

Catching Up

As you all noticed in my last post, I have a new notebook computer which replaced the one that completely broke (as in - it won't even turn on) at the end of July. Yes, I waited 2 months for Dell to ship this fabulous pink notebook to me. Long story and it's over now so I can move on...

I hope to get back to regular blogging / knitting soon! I have been knitting a little bit so I'll get some photos and do some show & tell this week.

Since I have to start with a fresh set of bookmarks is there anything out there you want to share with me? Did I miss anything exciting on the www while I was away?
Concession Stand
Last night we went to a local retro theater to see Knocked Up, very funny. Don't you love the concession stand? The best part? It cost less for 2 tickets, 2 sodas & a large popcorn with REAL BUTTER than it usually costs just for admission at one of the big box theaters. Yay for keeping retro theaters alive!

I Thank You

To whomever managed to dent and scrape my truck on 3 body panels while pulling in or out of a parking space, convieniently not leaving a note and therefore costing me $260 and a crapload of time running to and from the body shop and calling the insurance company. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I truly do. And please remember karma is a bitch.

Lonely Toes

My toes are a little lonely these days for 2 reasons:
1) I haven't had a new pedicure since early August I think I'm about due don't you?
2) I haven't received any Sockapalooza 4 socks
I know my pal must be out there somewhere but I haven't heard hide nor hare from her.
Is there someone out there who is still thinking of my lonely toes??

State Fair

2007 Pronto Pup
What have I been busy doing? Going to the MN State Fair of course! I managed to head over to the Fair twice this year, about 2 times less than I would have liked to go although I'm thankful for the time I did spend there. Does this mean I can go 6 times next year? ;-)
I've posted the few photos I took this year on my Flickr page. Enjoy!
