I spent the afternoon knitting at The Yarn Cafe with my fabulous friend Splatgirl.I worked on my Malabrigo mittens although I'm not to crazy about how the purple is pulling a self striping jig. Once I started the stockinette stitch and then increasing for the thumb the striping has disappeared so I guess I can live with it for an inch or two on the cuff. Rumor has it Splatgirl will be posting some cool pics from the afternoon so keep an eye on her blog. I, on the other hand, was too busy knitting to walk around the store much. I did pick up some yarn for a bit of trial size knitting for the holidays. More on that later of course...
I am a 30-something dental hygienist living in MN with my Weimaraner Casey, and missing my Boxer Flea. My husband Kyle is my best friend. I drive a 10 year old truck and a 9 year old motorcycle. My brother is currently serving in the US Air Force stationed in New Mexico. I love Rice Krispie bars, all things Tangerine/Mandarin Orange and Pistachio, Peanut M&M's, caramel, Jelly Bellys, comfortable shoes, cowboy/rodeo fabric, warm blankets, handmade quilts, soft pillows, really good chocolate and lazy days. I dislike litterbugs, dry hands, burned popcorn, slow drivers, below zero days and poor service & dirty silverware at restaurants. I'm currently enjoying my new Android phone, working on my UFO's and reading Recalculating on my nook.
I'm looking forward to Christmas!

Now I really need to start some Malabrigo mittens - where did you find a pattern that you like?
The Yarn Cafe sounds like a great place. What happened to Bettys?
