We've been having quite the lazy day here at Chez Knit-Whit. Oodles of yard work yesterday gives us permission to have lazy bones today. I knit a gauge swatch for the Malabrigo mittens I have in the works and I'm happy to report I was right on! Yay! Maybe I'll get started tonight right after I finish up my pincushion challenge for the month, a pincushion swap. To elaborate a bit on my post from yesterday, yes I heard we are supposed to start getting some cold weather, flurries and possibly some snow starting tonight and again on Tuesday. Not really a "storm" but cold and snow none the less.
I am a 30-something dental hygienist living in MN with my Weimaraner Casey, and missing my Boxer Flea. My husband Kyle is my best friend. I drive a 10 year old truck and a 9 year old motorcycle. My brother is currently serving in the US Air Force stationed in New Mexico. I love Rice Krispie bars, all things Tangerine/Mandarin Orange and Pistachio, Peanut M&M's, caramel, Jelly Bellys, comfortable shoes, cowboy/rodeo fabric, warm blankets, handmade quilts, soft pillows, really good chocolate and lazy days. I dislike litterbugs, dry hands, burned popcorn, slow drivers, below zero days and poor service & dirty silverware at restaurants. I'm currently enjoying my new Android phone, working on my UFO's and reading Recalculating on my nook.
I'm looking forward to Christmas!

I love, love, LOVE that color! Yummy! They will be so soft, too.
What pattern are you using for the mittens? I have been eyeing up some Malabrigo in my stash for exactly the same purpose.
