I hesitate to say what that looks like to me, as you seem to be running a clean blog here... ;)
It looks like a frying pan handle warmer or perhaps a teaspoon handle warmer(For those cold winter mornings) ;-)
If its not a willie warmer :) then I'd have to vote for one of those pot handle holder.
