It's been a bit slow for me in knitting land. I spent a nice relaxing weekend with Kyle. We slept in, started our Christmas shopping, stayed up late, and I made 5 gifts (sorry, no pics). I also made my Christmas cards and I mailed them today whoo-hoo! It was difficult going back to work yesterday. I plan to finish a project tonight but of course with the short days, I won't be able to get a photo until tomorrow. Laura finished her felted slippers which reminded me of my favorite finished object ever (MFFOE), my Squiggle slippers. I used Cascade 220 Tweed and Crystal Palace Squiggle. I wear these slippers every day, I love them.
Ok, the stripy & polka dotty fabric I teased you with last week...um yea...not started yet, unless you count cutting out the pattern. I'll try to work on it this coming weekend. Tomorrow night I meet with my book club at a fun restaurant called Pop! and a little shopping at a friends shop, Dabble. I feel a little stocking stuffer shopping coming on.
Thank you to everyone who gave me Blogger & comment advice.
I am a 30-something dental hygienist living in MN with my Weimaraner Casey, and missing my Boxer Flea. My husband Kyle is my best friend. I drive a 10 year old truck and a 9 year old motorcycle. My brother is currently serving in the US Air Force stationed in New Mexico. I love Rice Krispie bars, all things Tangerine/Mandarin Orange and Pistachio, Peanut M&M's, caramel, Jelly Bellys, comfortable shoes, cowboy/rodeo fabric, warm blankets, handmade quilts, soft pillows, really good chocolate and lazy days. I dislike litterbugs, dry hands, burned popcorn, slow drivers, below zero days and poor service & dirty silverware at restaurants. I'm currently enjoying my new Android phone, working on my UFO's and reading Recalculating on my nook.
I'm looking forward to Christmas!
